Patriot Brief
- What Happened: Trump told a Pennsylvania crowd the state has gained nearly 60,000 jobs and that U.S. Steel was saved through a new partnership.
- Why It Matters: Trump is framing Pennsylvania’s economic surge as proof his America First agenda is working again.
- Bottom Line: With billions in new investments and a manufacturing revival, Trump says Pennsylvania is “winning” under his leadership.
President Donald Trump fired up a packed crowd in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, by doing what he does best: delivering hard economic numbers that even his critics can’t ignore. Ten months into his return to the White House, Trump says Pennsylvania is not just recovering but roaring back to life.
“After just ten months in office, I’m pleased to report that America is winning again. Pennsylvania is prospering again, and I will not rest until this Commonwealth is wealthier and stronger than ever before,” Trump told supporters.

He highlighted nearly 60,000 new jobs created across the state, including 4,000 manufacturing jobs that he said Democrats had “given up on.” He also pointed to more than 40,000 Pennsylvanians lifted off food stamps, crediting renewed economic momentum.
Trump also praised Sen. Dave McCormick, saying the two have secured almost $100 billion in investment commitments for the state. “Working with Sen. David McCormick, we’ve secured commitments for nearly $100 billion of investments in Pennsylvania,” he said.
The president then celebrated what he described as a major victory for American industry: saving U.S. Steel through a partnership with Nippon Steel. The move keeps the company in Pittsburgh rather than watching another historic U.S. manufacturer shipped overseas.
“This little group of people, and me, saved a little company called U.S. Steel, and it’s hot as a pistol now, and we have the keys to the company,” Trump declared. “It’s always going to be here. It’s never moving.”
Trump visited a U.S. Steel plant earlier this year to promote the agreement, vowing that “the best and strongest steel on earth will forever be made in America and made in Pennsylvania.”
