Why It Matters: The comments coincide with a DOJ lawsuit seeking 2020 ballots and records from Fulton County, Georgia.

Bottom Line: Trump is signaling the 2020 fight is far from over and says proof is coming, whether Democrats like it or not.
President Donald Trump is once again putting the political world on notice, this time claiming his administration is sitting on “truckloads” of evidence proving the 2020 presidential election was rigged.
Speaking Sunday night at a White House Christmas reception, Trump told guests that Democrats are “professionals at cheating” and said documentation backing his claims will soon be made public.
🚨 BREAKING: President Trump is now saying “TRUCKLOADS” of evidence will be coming out proving the 2020 election was rigged

Trump’s DOJ is also now…

“We have all the ammunition, all the stuff, and you’ll see it come out. It’s coming out in truckloads,” Trump said. “But then we won again in 2024 with an election we call ‘too big to rig.’”
Trump said he repeatedly warned supporters not to stay home in 2024, urging them to overwhelm the system with turnout.
“I said, ‘Go out and vote, you gotta go out and vote, make it too big to rig,’” he said. “They tried to rig it, but they couldn’t do it. It was too big to rig.”
The president also revisited California, arguing the state’s election system would collapse under scrutiny.
“If the vote in California was legitimate, which it’s not,” Trump said, pointing to mass mail-in voting. “They mail out 38 million ballots. Where the hell do they go and where do they come from?”
Trump claimed Democrats assume they have a built-in advantage with Hispanic voters, an assumption he flatly rejected. “They don’t,” he said. “I won the Hispanic vote.”
California Gov. Gavin Newsom responded on X with a dismissive, “Hahahahahahahahaha ok.”
Behind the scenes, Trump’s claims are colliding with real legal action. The Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit seeking ballots and election records from Fulton County, Georgia, a key county in Biden’s 2020 win. Federal officials say the Civil Rights Act of 1960 gives them authority to review those materials.
Fulton County officials have refused, arguing the records are sealed under state law. That dispute now heads to federal court, reopening one of the most scrutinized election battles in modern history.
